Seriously?!?!?!?

Just something I have been thinking about lately... I met my girlfriend online so I think this online dating can be successful. What I don't understand is how big dating sites like the ones you see in commercials can sucker people in to paying them for something that should be free. Sure I can see certain things having to pay for but basic contact things like private messages should be free.

Whatever happened to talking to someone to get to know them and seeing if there is any chemistry? Has this society gotten so lazy that they need to rely on a computer and some questions to determine if the person they are looking at will be a compatible match? Then on top of it, those big sites with the fancy commercials charge you money to fill out these questionaires and make profiles that can be seen by others... WOW... That in my mind would be like going to the local watering hole and upon entering the building you have to pay them $60 to not have bag over your head and gag in your mouth, would any of you visit an establishment like that? I know I wouldn't...

I guess it just makes me sick that the people that own those sites prey on an individuals quest for the perfect partner by getting their hopes up saying if you pay them money you will magically find the one person your supposed to be with... In these times of economic hardship can anyone really afford not only emotionally but financially to pay for something that they can not guarantee? There is only 1 person in this world that can guarantee your happiness and that is you.

Stop paying those so called "relationship" sites that only care about your money and not your happiness. Bring everyone you can to http://www.passionmetrics.com and to other truly "FREE" dating sites and let the big boys know they need to care about the people, not the money.
